A-level 数学课程

　　课程介绍：

　　A-level 数学只是个笼统的说法，事实上包括了三块内容，即AS-level (Advanced Subsidiary)，A-level (Advanced Level)以及进阶数学(Further Math)。考生必须通过AS或A的考试才能得到对申请世界知名大学有效的A-level的数学成绩，Further Math不是必修的。

　　A-level数学覆盖面比较广，课程也有一定深度，学生最好是已经通过国内高中一年或一年以上时间的学习再进入本课程。

　　各考试单元涉及的内容：

　　Pure Mathematics 1：Quadratics，Functions，Coordinate geometry，Circular measure，Trigonometry，Vectors，Series，Differentiation，Integration。

　　Pure Mathematics 2：Algebra，Logarithmic and

　　exponential functions，Trigonometry，Differentiation，Integration，Numerical solution of equations。

　　Pure Mathematics 3：Algebra，Logarithmic and

　　exponential functions，Trigonometry，Differentiation，Integration，Numerical solution of equations，Vectors，Differential equations，Complex numbers。

　　Mechanics 1：Forces and equilibrium，Kinematics of motion in a straight line，Newton’s laws of motion，Energy, work and power。

　　Mechanics 2：Motion of a projectile，Equilibrium of a rigid body，Uniform motion in a circle，Hooke’s law，Linear motion under a variable force。

　　Probability & Statistics 1：Representation of data，

　　Permutations and combinations，Probability，Discrete random variables，The normal distribution。

　　Probability & Statistics 2：The Poisson distribution，Linear combinations of random variables，Continuous random variables，Sampling and estimation，Hypothesis tests。

　　关于考试：

　　AS资格考试： 必考P1 (60%)，选考：P2 (40%) 或 M1 (40%) 或 S1 (40%)

　　A-level资格考试：必考P1 (30%) & P3 (30%)，选考M1 (20%) &S1 (20%) 或M1 (20%) & M2 (20%) 或S1 (20%) & S2 (20%)

　　(括号内为此模块占总计算成绩的比例)

　　A-level所需的p1等可以采用AS的成绩，即可以选择先考AS的两份Paper(AS只需要两份)，以后再考剩下的两份，也可以同时考四份A的Paper。数学特别优秀者还可以选考进阶数学，也可以算作单科成绩，即考生可以通过数学拿到两个A。
